Payment Locations

You may pay your utility bill at one of our Downtown Garland Customer Service locations, or you can pay at one of our Authorized Cash Payment Locations.

Charles E. Duckworth Utility Services Building

Walk-in payments can be made at the Charles E. Duckworth Utility Service Building. Cashier windows are open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Cash, check or money order payments are accepted.

Garland Utility Payment Drive-Thru & Drop Box

Four drive-thru lanes are located at the Garland Utility Payment Drive-Thru. Drive-thru service is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Customers may pay using check, money order or cash. A drop box is also available for after-hours bill payment. This box is located in the far left lane of the Garland Utility Payment Drive-Thru.

Payments dropped off before 4 p.m. on a weekday will be entered as a payment that day. All payments received after 4 p.m. will be entered as payment on the following business day. Do not pay in cash at the drop box. Pay with check or money order. Do include your account number on your payment.

Authorized Payment Locations Near You

City of Garland Utilities partners with Western Union to provide Authorized Cash Payment Locations near where you live and work. Utility bill payments are processed electronically and credited to your account within minutes. When you make your first City of Garland utility bill payment at an Authorized Western Union location, you will be asked to complete a form to ensure your payment is routed correctly to your account.

Payment Guidelines

Each time you pay at an Authorized Payment Location:

  • Use "City of Garland Utilities" as the Company name
  • Use the Last Name and Account Number which are printed on your utility bill
  • Bring your bill with you
  • Make your payment with cash only
  • You will pay a $1.50 convenience fee
  • The store clerk will receive your funds and enter the payment information, payment posts to your account within minutes
  • You will receive a validated payment receipt as proof of payment, keep this receipt for your records.

Important: Payment at locations that are not "Authorized" may take several days to reach City of Garland Utilities or may not reach us at all. To ensure your payment is received within minutes, use an Authorized Western Union Payment Location.
